Xiaomi CEO confirms 3 million units of Mi Max sold since launch
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that Xiaomi has sold as many as 3 million units of the Mi Max phablet since launch. Out of these, 1.5 million units units were sold within the first two months itself. The Mi Max was launched last May and comes with a huge 6.44-inch display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.The company has just released the smartphone's successor - the Mi Max 2 in China, which is a complete overhaul in almost every department. One area where the Mi Max 2 is similar to its predecessor is the display - it comes with the same 6.33-inch 1080p HD panel.The numbers were revealed by Lei Jun during the Mi Max 2's launch where he also proclaimed that the Mi Max "topped the chart as the best seller under the large display category on both JD.com and Tmall."Also Read: Xiaomi Mi Max Vs Mi Max 2: How the new Max is different from the old oneThe Mi Max 2 is available in three different variants - one with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and the 1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, a middle variant with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and the 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor and the highest-end model with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and the same Snapdragon 652 processor.On the imaging front, the smartphone comes with a 16MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, an LED flash and phase detection autofocus paired with a 5MP front shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and an 85-degree wide angle lens.
